Purpose of the Study The proposed study aims to provide a framework for intervention planning for adult disabled residents. It will identify appropriate RT activities and leisure opportunities in a geriatric care setting (Shank Coyle, 2002). In this regard, this study has two objectives; first, to find out the perceptions and views of RT professionals about the current organization of RT activities; and second, to explore the participating patients’ experiences regarding RT benefits. It is hoped that the findings will help develop a framework that reflects the patients’ experiences and is consistent with medical models of patient care. Studies also show that extrinsic factors such as lack of time, redundancy in charting and noise disruptions affect documentation and organization of RT activities. In addition, evidence-based practice in recreational therapy promotes the quality of services to patients (Donnelly, 2005). The practitioners employed a number of facilitation approaches including leisure counseling, stress management, group therapy and reminiscence (Kinney et al., 2004). This implies that it is through a combination of RT approaches and activities that the health outcomes of physically handicapped residents can be improved. Hypothesis This study hypothesizes that a multifaceted RT intervention focusing on physical activities and leisure has more benefits to the disabled residents than a single approach. Findings from previous studies indicate that the participants derive such benefits as lower level of stress, improved muscle tone, or decreased weight (Wilhite et al., 2012, p. 257). More importantly, the participants learn to interact with people who might not be closely familiar to them (Wilhite et al., 2012, p. 260). Research Questions The analysis of various studies reveals that the organization of RT care or activities should involve various activities. To meet the study’s objectives, this study will involve the following research questions: How should RT professionals organize recreation activities for the disabled residents, while providing opportunities for leisure? How do the RT practitioners perceive recreation activities in residential care settings? Do recreational therapy activities achieve higher patient outcomes than standard practice? Research Methodology This study will use an action research approach to explore the patients’ experiences and RT practitioners’ perceptions regarding the RT activities and leisure opportunities for the disabled. The action research technique facilitates knowledge development a s it allows the researcher to cooperate with the participants in the course of the research (Domholdt, 2005). Action research is used in studies involving human subjects and in real-life situations. It is cyclical and involves observation, brainstorming and self-reflection. To determine the physical activities and leisure opportunities appropriate for the disabled residents, it is important that the participants and the RT practitioners are involved (Navar, 1991). In this study, the experiences of the patient and the perceptions of the practitioners will be used to develop a care plan for the disabled. Thus, through this approach, the research will identify new activities and frameworks of health care delivery for disabled residents in a Geriatric Hospital. A total of 100 participants will be randomly selected from this residential facility. The sample participants will include patients and registered RT practitioners (certified RT practitioners). Data Collection In the proposed stu dy, the main instruments that will be used in data collection will be questionnaires. The questionnaires will aim to identify the perceptions and attitudes of the participants in the RT practice (Domholdt, 2005). Email notifications will be randomly sent to potential participants. Individuals will be included in the sample upon sending a confirmation email. The study will use two sets of questionnaires: (1) participant survey questionnaires; and (2) practitioner survey questionnaires. The core questions in the practitioner survey questionnaires will include: In your view, which RT activities improve the patient outcomes for the disabled? What leisure opportunities are available for the disabled in the care facility? Which set of activities (physical, spiritual and personality/self-esteem) improve the health outcomes of the participants? Does a multifaceted approach help achieve higher treatment outcomes than a single strategy? What advantages does intervention planning for disabled patients have over standard care? On the other hand, the main questions in the patient questionnaire will include: Do the physical activities with RT help improve your health? (Less helpful, helpful, very helpful) How can you rate the RT intervention services in this facility? (Very poor, poor, good, very good) How can you rate the effectiveness of the intervention? (Not effective, moderately effective, effective and very effective) This study will use the random sampling technique (Domholdt, 2005). Email notification will be sent to potential participants. Only disabled residents in the Geriatric Hospital will participate in this research. The participants, selected through the inclusion criteria mentioned above, will undergo a multifaceted intervention program conducted by certified RT professionals for a period of one month. Their views and the per ceptions of the practitioners about the intervention will be collected using structured questionnaires. Data analysis will involve a qualitative approach. The participants’ responses will be grouped into common themes (Domholdt, 2005). Sub-themes will be drawn from the major themes to further explain the client’s experiences of the RT intervention. The researcher will further analyze the sub-themes to identify the concerns and pressures related to RT practice in geriatric/special care settings. Techniques for Recording and Reporting the Findings The themes identified from the analysis of the participants’ responses will be compared with the patient-focused care (PFC) framework and the researcher’s notes. The RT activities identified will be recorded in the charts. This will guide future intervention planning for the disabled in long-term care facilities. Also, the themes identified from the patients’ responses will be used to develop a patient-focu sed, evidence-based care model that is specific to the organization (Donnelly, 2005). The new RT model will be published in recreational therapy and medical journals. Suggestions for the Future The proposed research will only focus on the residents’ experiences regarding a multi-faceted RT intervention and the RT practitioners’ perceptions about the intervention. A framework for organizing or planning recreational activities and leisure will be developed from the findings of the study. Future studies should focus on evaluation techniques for the new framework. Peer review of the framework will enable the researchers to assess the quality of the research. As Domholdt (2005) suggests, the participants should be involved in the evaluation of the new framework to ensure that the model reflects the actual experiences of the participants. This approach will also increase the RT practitioners’ ability to offer patient-focused care within the Geriatric Hospital setting. Although Egypt and Israel signed a peace treaty in 1979, hostility between Israel and the rest of its Arab neighbors, especially with Palestinian Arabs, has continued because of the lack of co-operation by the Arabs. The first war began as a civil conflict between Palestinian Jews and Arabs following the United Nations recommendation of November 29, 1947, to partition Palestine, then still under British mandate, into an Arab state and a Jewish state. Fighting quickly spread as Arab guerrillas attacked Jewish settlements and communication links to prevent implementation of the UN plan. Jewish forces prevented seizure of most settlements, but Arab guerrillas, supported by the Transjordanian Arab Legion under the command of British officers, besieged Jerusalem. By April, Haganah, the principal Jewish military group, seized the offensive, scoring victories against the Arab Liberation Army in northern Palestine, Jaffa, and Jerusalem. British military forces withdrew to Haifa; although officially neutral, some commanders assisted one side or the other. After the British had departed and the state of Israel had been established on May 15, 1948, under the premiership of David Ben-Gurion, the Palestine Arab forces and foreign volunteers were joined by regular armies of Transjordan (now the kingdom of Jordan), Iraq, Lebanon, and Syria, with token support from Saudi Arabia. Efforts by the UN to halt the fighting were unsuccessful until June 1, when a 4-week truce was declared. When the Arab states refused to renew the truce, ten more days fighting erupted. In that time Israel greatly extended the area under its control and broke the siege of Jerusalem. Fighting on a smaller scale continued during the second UN truce beginning in mid-July, and Israel acquired more territory, especially in Galilee and the Negev. By January 1949, when the last battles ended, Israel has extended its frontiers by about 5,000 sq. km (1930 sq mi.) beyond the 15,500 sq. km (4983 sq mi.) allocated to the Jewish state in the UN partition resolution. It had also secured its independence. During 1949, armistice agreements were signed under UN auspices between Israel and Egypt, Jordan, Syria, and Lebanon. The armistice frontiers were unofficial boundaries until 1967. Border conflicts between Israel and the Arabs continued despite provisions in the 1949 armistice agreements for peace negotiations. Hundreds of thousands of Palestinian Arabs who had left Israeli-held territory during the first war concentrated in refugee camps along Israels frontiers and became a major source of friction when they infiltrated back to their homes or attacked Israeli border settlements. A major tension point was the Egyptian-controlled Gaza Strip, which was used by arab guerrillas for raids into southern Israel. Egypts blockade of Israeli shipping in the Suez Canal and Gulf of Aqaba intensified the hostilities. These escalating tensions converged with the Suez Crisis caused by the nationalization of the Suez Canal by Egyptian president Gamal Nasser. Great Britain and France strenuously objected to Nassers policies, and a joint military campaign was planned against Egypt with the understanding that Israel would take the initiative by seizing the Sinai Peninsula. The war began on October 29, 1956, after an announcement that the armies of Egypt, Syria, and Jordan were to be integrated under the Egyptian commander in chief. Israels Operation Kadesh, commanded by Moshe Dayan, lasted less than a week; its forces reached the eastern bank of the Suez Canal in about 100 hours , seizing the Gaza Strip and nearly all the Sinai Peninsula. The Sinai operations were supplemented by an Anglo-French invasion of Egypt on November 5, giving the allies control of the northern sector of the Suez Canal. The war was halted by a UN General Assembly resolution calling for an immediate cease-fire and withdrawal of all occupying forces from Egyptian territory. The General Assembly also established a United Nations Emergency Force (UNEF) to replace the allied troops on the Egyptian side of the borders in Suez, Sinai, and Gaza. Todos los migrantes legales deben hacer trmites con el USCIS, al igual que los ciudadanos americanos que desean pedir los papeles para un familiar. Por esta razà ³n, es importante conocer cules son los trmites de los que se ocupa USCIS, dà ³nde estn ubicadas sus oficinas,  cà ³mo contactar para obtener informacià ³n y, finalmente, en quà © consiste la verificacià ³n de antecedentes penales (background check, en inglà ©s) que realiza esta agencia y cà ³mo saber lo que esta agencia sabe de cada migrante. Qu hace USCIS y cules son los tiempos de espera en sus trmites USCIS se ocupa de asuntos muy variados. Asimismo, USCIS gestiona el programa e-verify para determinar que una persona est autorizada para trabajar legalmente en Estados Unidos. Por à ºltimo, entre otros trmites  frecuentes tambià ©n destacan la gestià ³n de los casos de asilo afirmativo, los de adopcià ³n internacional y  las solicitudes de advance parole, para permitir salir de Estados Unidos y su regreso sin problemas. En cuanto al tiempo de demora para que USCIS apruebe o deniegue un trmite hay que decir claramente que no hay una respuesta à ºnica, ya que depende del tipo de trmite. En su pgina oficial se pueden verificar tiempos aproximados, una vez que se sabe el centro que gestiona el trmite y el nombre del documento del tipo de peticià ³n o solicitud. Por ejemplo, I-130 para el caso de peticiones de un familiar, N-600 para la naturalizacià ³n, etc. En todo caso es necesario destacar que si se trata de una peticià ³n de familia donde hay un là ­mite  de solicitudes que pueden ser aprobadas por aà ±o fiscal, como es el caso de todas las peticiones de residentes o en las peticiones de ciudadanos para hijos mayores de 21 aà ±os o casados o para sus hermanos hay que esperar ms. Es decir, hay que esperar a que exista cupo para lo cual es ms indicativo verificar las fechas que publica el Departamento de Estado cada mes en el Boletà ­n de Visas. En relacià ³n a los trmites que se realizan con USCIS, se debe  recordar que todos los formularios oficiales son gratis y pueden descargarse de su pgina oficial, incluso admitià ©ndose casos de e-file. Adems, en ciertos casos es posible solicitar una exencià ³n para no pagar la tarifa que requiere el caso. Asimismo, se debe  insistir que todos los documentos que se presentan en espaà ±ol, como por ejemplo, las partidas de nacimiento o matrimonio, deben ir acompaà ±ados de una traduccià ³n al inglà ©s, que debe ser certificada. Por à ºltimo, tener en cuenta que cuando el USCIS deniega una peticià ³n es posible apelarla en algunos casos. Esos datos le sirven para verificar los posibles antecedentes penales de una persona. Es lo que se conoce en inglà ©s como background check. Esto consiste en cotejar las huellas digitales con las bases de datos de otras agencias federales y tambià ©n enviarlas al FBI para determinar si la persona que solicita el beneficio migratorio ha sido arrestada o detenida en el pasado y, en caso afirmativo, la causa. With clear mission, vision and objective as well as appropriate business strategies which help the company keep a constant profitably and grow in stable way, Ginvera has built a significant reputation around Asia, especially South East Asian countries such as Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia and even China.However, in Ginvera’ point of view, Vietnam does still appears as a brand new and potential market which can help the company not only reinforce its reputation effectively but also a considerable revenue every year. One the other hand, in Vietnamese customers’ perspective, Ginvera still appears as unfamiliar name although their products are sold in most of the supermarket especially in mega cities like Hanoi and Ho chi Minh city. This type of selling is often used in high – valuable products’ purchasing such as a house or car.Naturally, when a people decide to buy a product or service valuable, especially compare with their income, they will consider very carefully with high degree of involvement. On the other hand, this type of selling is also popular in personal product or services which beauty cares appear as instant example. Personal selling is considered as the m ost intensive but expensive method in the communication mix. While other non – personal selling methods focus on the general public, personal selling as its name, focus on individuals as well as personal aspect.Every person has different personality, different characteristics with different objectives and different requirements. In some industries like beauty care, is it necessary for the customers to have personal consults, in this case, personal selling plays the leader role as the most suitable and effective way for both company and customers’ perspective as in the win – win formula. By this way, the salesperson can understand exactly what the customers’ needs and wants, hence, provide some appropriate advices which can satisfy the customer.In personal selling, selling is not the most important way as its impression; the more important thing is building long – term relationship with the customers. Moreover, this type of selling is also designed to attract no t only end consumer as usual but also the sale team and intermediaries.Examples include contests, coupons, freebies, loss leaders, point of purchase displays, premiums, discounted price, prizes, product samples, and rebates. Among these types, discount, coupon and product samples are the most popular types in Vietnam’s beauty care market, both online and offline. The relationship between communication mix’s elements Generally, while personal selling appears as an intensive and expensive method, it is still consider as the most effective way to building desire, changing attitudes and the most important, convert them to sales and revenue.Furthermore, unlike other non – per sonal method such as advertising and Public relation mainly focus on creating awareness but does not affect significantly on customer’s action, the sale promotion have one common with personal selling on hitting the mark of customers’ behavior, convert them into sale but in more public instead of personal aspect. In Vietnam, personal selling is still considered as a new comer with most of the customers. However, in near future, it will be more popular and familiar with the customers due to the improvement of the standard of livings.Twenty years ago, the only thing Vietnamese people care about is how to fulfill their starving stomach, now everything has changed positively. Marketing Mix Marketing mix is one of the most popular tools which are used for analyzing about products, price, place and promotion in order to build up an effective marketing campaign. The next factor is â€Å"Economic needs† which means the best value for the money. When people consider buying something, they will wonder if the money they pay worth the product they purchase, especially in the inflation storm in this time. However, in some cases, some girls and women cannot control how much they spends on beauty care stuff such as clothes, shoes, skin care stuff and so on. As a result, they are willing to open pocket even they does not really need the products or not.In this case, the salesperson from Ginvera can use some special techniques to close the sale before the customers change their mind and burn their money on something else. With small economic of scale, the shop does not need construction permit in order to operation. However, these small shops appear not power enough to compete with well – known brands. In other aspect, with significant bigger economic of scale, everything has changed. The required capital for establishing a company is not low; adding with complicated produces can keep the threat of new entrants not so high. The threat of substitute product: Handmade beauty care products which are produced 100% from natural ingredient appear once more time. However, Ginvera’s products are also exact from natural material such as green tea; bring more customers more convenient in packaging with longer expired time. This fact appears advantages of all industry beauty care product that the salespeople can point out for customer. Therefore, the threat of substitute product remains low level. * The bargain power of buyers: Vietnamese market is considered as a potential market with more than 86 million people.With such prices, Beside Ginvera, the customers have more choices on other well – known brand name from Europe, USA, Korea, Japan, etc. Moreover, the switching cost in beauty care is not so high that a girl only loses about some hundred thousand VND to change her skincare products. Therefore, the customers are easy to change from their old skin care or ho usehold products to Ginvera, but also easy to change from Ginvera to another skin care or household products. In this situation, the bargain power of buyers stays in high level, which require appropriate selling and after selling policy from the company as well as salespeople. The bargain power of supplier: Due to the fact that, all Ginvera products will be imported to Vietnam, hence, the input of the company totally depend on the headquarter in Malaysia. Therefore, the bargain power of suppliers in this case remains in high degree. * The current rivals: The first rival groups come from beauty care industry. In the recent 2 years, the entering of well – known brands from Korea such as Skin food, The Face shop, Natural Republic, Baviphat, Tonymoly, etc through portable way as well as showrooms make the cosmetic market blooming.These brands are considered affordable with good quality, compared with high – end brands such as SKII, Chanel, etc. As a result, a new comer lik e Ginvera will meet with fierce competition in this potential market. The second rival groups come from bath and household products and the products for kids. One tour around the supermarket indicated a lot of sub brand name comes from Unilever Corporation. In other word, this company are dominated the market and appear as the most redoubtable rivals of Ginvera. 4. 8. Internal Managerial factorsThe Managerial force includes factors inside a company that impact its personal selling significantly, includes The capacity of the management, the structure of the company, the influences by other department, the selling strategy in the market, and the reward policies for sales people. 4. 9. 7. The capacity of the management Selling Manager of Ginvera is the one who build up the selling strategies and policies as well as the sales planning for the company in Vietnam market. As a result, their capacity appears as one of the most important managerial factor which affects the personal selling o f the company.If management has well capacity, they will give out right strategies and policies that make the personal selling for Ginvera achieve the success. On another case, if their capacity is not good that they brings out wrong decisions in their strategies or policies, the sales team of Ginvera will face with many obstacles when they perform their job, hence, cannot bring sales and revenue for the company. 4. 9. 8. In fact, this type of personal selling is very popular in other foreign countries such as Malaysia.However, the significant number of deceptions cases which are issued by fake salespeople when fielding selling was adopted in Vietnam some years ago has create an lack – of – sympathy preconception among Vietnamese mind. Moreover, this type of selling can also make people wonder about the quality of the products as another preconception. While in both telemarketing and field selling, the salespeople go to the customer, in over – the – counter selling, the customers go to the salesperson. The sales team is suggested to e the salespeople who work in showrooms, supermarket chains and through telephone and online consulting system of Ginvera Vietnam.
